A supervisor will be found for a student within a chosen three organisations from the list. If this is not possible, the student has the option to choose a further 3 options (at no expense) or cancel (at no expense)

A Practice Educator Form will be completed by the supervisor and Practicalinks and provided to the student and HEI
Practicalinks will ensure that supervisors understand the meaning of set learning outcomes (provided by the student/ HEI) and understands the importance of helping their supervisee attain them.
A Risk Assessment will be completed by Practicalinks and the Supervisor/ Organisation including political, cultural, legal aspects and health and safety.

A briefing package for students will include information on Travel, Visas, Medical requirements/ advice, living arrangements/ ideas, finances (living costs and budgeting tips). *
Support will be provided to the student prior to the placement through the use of contracts (responsibilities of the Placement, student and HEI outlined), contingency plans (including direct contact details for Practicalinks should there be problems) and emergency plans (including worst case scenario, Practicalinks assisting with contacting Embassies, local or international agencies and helping to (although not financing) travel home.
